The purchase price is the part everyone compares and the smallest part of the decision. Here is every line we know of, from the shell to the fifth-year service visit, with the ranges we actually invoice rather than a headline figure.
The shell sets the price far more than the litres do. A 400-litre tub can be Rp 4.5 million or Rp 150 million, and the water in it is identical. What changes is how it looks in ten years, how much it weighs, whether it can ever be moved, and how often you touch it.

If you are renting or on a fixed posting, the last column matters more than the first. Cast terrazzo bedded on a pad belongs to the building, and our three-year shell warranty does not cover cracking caused by lifting it later. The inverter premium is Rp 4 to 14 million depending on size, and it buys three things: ±0.3 degrees instead of about 1.5, 25 to 30 per cent less electricity, and under 48 dB at one metre instead of 52 to 58. On a villa where the condenser sits four metres from a guest bedroom, the noise alone settles it. The pad is the line most often forgotten. A 400-litre tub full of water is about 780 kilograms concentrated in less than 1.5 square metres; on soil, paving or an old deck it settles a few millimetres within a year and the overflow stops running level. We will not install on a surface we do not trust, and we would rather have the argument before the deposit. What our crew does and does not do is set out under installation and delivery.

All of that is for a 400-litre tub with the lid on outside bathing hours, used an hour a day, on the domestic R-1 tariff, at roughly Rp 16,300 to the dollar. The entire national spread is about five dollars a month. Leave the lid off and add a third. The variable that actually hurts is not the tariff but the connection: a 1.5 PK chiller needs 1,400 watts of headroom, and on a 1,300 VA house that is a PLN upgrade before anything else.
On most of Java and Bali water is cheap enough that the filtration argument is about labour rather than litres. On a dry island it is the dominant cost — see Labuan Bajo, where ozone cuts annual consumption by about 92 per cent. What is included in a service visit is described under maintenance.

The economical column is a 320-litre portable shell with a 1 PK imported chiller; the standard is 400 litres of terrazzo with 1.5 PK and a step; the villa column is 600 litres of terrazzo with a 2 PK inverter, ozone and a timber deck. Note how the running costs converge: across five years, the difference between the cheapest and the most expensive setup is almost entirely the first invoice, not the bills that follow it.
Usually an uninsulated tub with a quarter- or half-PK aquarium chiller meant for a 200-litre tank in an air-conditioned room. In an open Jakarta garden that combination holds 16 to 19 degrees, not 3 to 5. The product is real; the temperature promise is not.
40 per cent once drawings are approved, 40 per cent when the shell is ground, and the final 20 per cent after the on-site cold test. The balance is only invoiced once a probe thermometer in your water agrees with what we promised.
Yes. We calculate the load anyway and will say plainly if your unit is undersized. If it fits, we install it and the shell warranty stands — only the chiller itself falls outside our cover.
In a lowland city, no. Jakarta needs 18 to 25 kilograms of ice per session, roughly Rp 45,000 to 70,000 a day, so within five months you have spent what a chiller costs. It genuinely works in highland towns like Batu, Lembang and Berastagi where the tap is already at 17-21 degrees.

Less than people expect, because most of the load comes through the water surface rather than the volume. Going from 400 to 600 litres in Jakarta adds about Rp 70,000 a month — but it can add a whole chiller size to the purchase, which is the expensive part.
