Villas here are rarely empty for more than two nights, and that dictates how we work. Twelve working days of production in Tabanan, one day on site, then 7.4 hours of cold test until the water reads 5 degrees. Your villa loses one night, not one week.

Everywhere else the sequence runs deposit, production, delivery, installation. In Seminyak it runs the other way: from the date the next guests check in. A Petitenget or Oberoi villa on a high nightly rate loses more money to two empty nights than to the entire difference between teak and terrazzo, so the first thing we lock is a date, not a material.
The order is survey and heat-load calculation on day one, drawings in three to five days, twelve working days of production at the Tabanan workshop, then a single day of installation and pipework in Seminyak. We start at seven in the morning; the shell is seated and plumbed by midday and the 7.4-hour pull-down finishes in the evening. The one thing that breaks this rhythm is civil work — if a pad has to be poured, allow two days to pour and seven to cure before the tub may sit on it.
Seminyak land is narrower than Canggu land, and by the time we arrive it usually holds a pool, a deck and a garden. What gets offered to us is often a 1.4-metre strip beside the pool. Terrazzo struggles there: a cast wall is 70-90 millimetres thick plus 40 millimetres of insulation, so a 400-litre tub occupies about 1.05 metres of external width.
| Shell | Wall build-up | External width, 400 L | Service life | Moves with you? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cast terrazzo | 70-90 mm + 40 mm insulation | about 1.05 m | 20+ years | no |
| 316 stainless | 4 mm + 40 mm insulation | about 0.88 m | 20+ years | yes, unbolts |
| Acrylic on a frame | 6 mm + 40 mm insulation | about 0.90 m | 6-8 years | yes |
| Insulated portable | flexible wall | about 0.85 m | 2-4 years | yes, one afternoon |
Seventeen centimetres is the difference between a walkway and a squeeze, which is why stainless steel ice baths are our usual answer in Seminyak. The bonus is that 316 is the right material anyway 800 metres from the sea. Where the gap is tighter still, an acrylic ice bath is lighter again, though it lasts six to eight years rather than twenty.
Jalan Kayu Aya and the gangs around Petitenget will not take a lorry during the day and several run one way. What happens instead: the shell comes off the truck at the nearest wide point, then travels in by small pickup and a rubber-wheeled trolley. A 400-litre terrazzo body weighs about 380 kilograms empty, so this stage needs six people and 30 to 45 minutes. We schedule it before seven in the morning, while Seminyak is still asleep.
The narrowest clear width of the lane, the height of the gate or threshold, and the distance from the unloading point to the tub position. Under 95 centimetres clear and a terrazzo body will not pass — we will propose stainless or casting in place. Knowing this on survey day is free; knowing it with a truck outside your gate is not.
Water and air here are identical to Canggu: 28-30 degrees in, 24-32 outside, 516 watts, 1.5 PK, Rp 214,000 a month. Only two things differ — one hour from the workshop rather than forty minutes, and considerably less space. Against Denpasar, whose air runs one degree hotter, the chiller here works slightly less hard: 7.4 hours to pull a tub down instead of 7.6. For the whole island in one table see the Bali region page, and for your own volume the chiller calculator.
One full working day. We start at seven, the tub is seated and plumbed before noon, and the 7.4-hour cold test finishes in the evening. If no concrete pad exists yet, add two days to pour and seven to cure before installation day.
Usually. We lift deck boards over an area the size of the tub, pour a pad underneath and refit the boards tight to the rim. What cannot be avoided is a 12-centimetre channel for the hoses and cable from the tub to the condenser. All of it is drawn before a single board comes up.
Rp 214,000 a month for a closed 400-litre tub used an hour a day on the domestic tariff. For a rental where several guests use it daily and the lid is often forgotten, budget Rp 283,000. That Rp 69,000 gap is purely the lid.
Yes, and it is a common request here. Two conditions: the condenser stays outside with free airflow, at least three metres from the tub, and the room has cross-ventilation. A condenser in a closed space breathes its own hot exhaust, loses capacity and the tub never reaches 5 degrees.
They can, and we suggest limiting the range. The panel locks to 4-12 degrees, which leaves guests a real choice without forcing the chiller outside its size. A villa that wants the full range down to 3 degrees should specify 2 PK from the start.
A 316 stainless 400-litre body will at 88 centimetres external width. Terrazzo will not. The third option is casting the shell in place, which adds four working days and two days of wet work but has no size limit at all — see bespoke design.

Tell us the gap between two bookings. If it is a single day and the pad already exists, that is usually enough.
We reply with sizing, the right chiller and a full price.
